What is the best time to visit Rajasthan?
October to March is the best time to visit Rajasthan. Days are mild to warm (about 20–33°C) and ideal for forts, palaces, city tours and the Jaisalmer desert safari, though desert nights can be cold in December and January. April to June is very hot, often above 40°C, and July to September is the monsoon season, when Rajasthan turns green, crowds are smaller and hotel rates are lower.
How many days do I need for a Rajasthan tour?
For a first trip, 5 nights / 6 days is a practical minimum for 2 to 3 cities, for example Jaipur, Udaipur and Mount Abu, or Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. The cities are far apart (Jaipur to Udaipur is about a 6 to 7 hour drive), so add 2 to 3 more days if you also want Pushkar, Ranthambore or Bikaner.
What is included in your Rajasthan tour packages?
Our Rajasthan packages are built around hotel stays and daily sightseeing as per the itinerary. Monument entry fees, guide charges, lunch, tips and personal expenses are usually extra. The exact inclusions and exclusions are listed on each package page, so you know what you are paying for before you book.
How do I get a quote for a Rajasthan tour package from Jaipur?
Send us your travel dates, number of travellers, departure city and hotel preference on WhatsApp at +91 9602632292 or through the enquiry form. We will send a day-wise itinerary with the price, and you can change the cities, hotels or number of days before you confirm.
Can I customise a Rajasthan itinerary?
Yes. You can change the cities, hotel category, number of days and sightseeing to match your budget and interests, and combine Rajasthan with Delhi, Agra, Gujarat or Madhya Pradesh. Tell us your plan and we will adjust the itinerary and quote before you book.
How far are the main cities in Rajasthan from each other?
Approximate road distances are Jaipur to Pushkar 145 km (about 3 hours), Jaipur to Jodhpur 335 km (5 to 6 hours), Jaipur to Udaipur 400 km (6 to 7 hours), Jodhpur to Jaisalmer 285 km (5 to 6 hours) and Udaipur to Mount Abu 165 km (about 3 hours). Because the cities are far apart, it helps to keep the number of cities low, and trains and flights are options between some of them.
Is Rajasthan safe for tourists, families and senior citizens?
Rajasthan is one of India's most visited states and is generally comfortable for families, couples and senior citizens. Take normal travel precautions: stay in pre-booked hotels, use registered transport, agree prices before shopping or taking rides, and keep valuables secure. A pre-planned package with confirmed hotels and a fixed itinerary removes most of the hassle.
Do foreign tourists need a visa for Rajasthan?
Indian citizens do not need a visa. Foreign nationals need a valid Indian visa, and travellers from many countries can apply for an e-Visa online. Rules change, so check the latest requirements on the official Indian visa website before you book. Once your dates are fixed, we can plan the hotels and sightseeing for your Rajasthan trip.
Which Rajasthan tour package is best for a honeymoon?
Udaipur and Jaisalmer are the most popular honeymoon stops in Rajasthan, with sunset boat rides on Lake Pichola, lake views and desert evenings. The Jaipur Udaipur Mount Abu and Jaipur Jodhpur Udaipur itineraries suit couples well, and you can ask us about romantic extras when you enquire. See our honeymoon tour packages for more options.
Which Rajasthan package is best for families and senior citizens?
Pick an itinerary with shorter drives and fewer hotel changes. The Jaipur Ajmer Pushkar package has the shortest distances (Jaipur to Pushkar is about 3 hours), while the longer multi-city circuits involve more time on the road. Tell us if children or elders are travelling and we will plan the pace, hotels and stops to suit them. See our family tour packages and our guide to Rajasthan destinations for senior citizens.
What are the best places to visit in Rajasthan?
Jaipur is known for Amber Fort, City Palace and Hawa Mahal. Udaipur is the city of lakes, with City Palace and Lake Pichola. Jodhpur has Mehrangarh Fort, Jaisalmer has its golden fort and the Sam sand dunes, Pushkar has its holy lake and Brahma Temple, and Mount Abu has the Dilwara Temples and Nakki Lake. Most itineraries combine three of these places in 5 to 6 days.
Can I add a Jaisalmer desert safari to my Rajasthan trip?
Jaisalmer is covered in our Jaipur Jodhpur Jaisalmer package. The Sam sand dunes, about 40 km from the city, are the usual place for camel rides, jeep safaris and cultural evenings. Check the package page for what is included, or ask us to add a desert safari to your plan.
Can I start my Rajasthan tour from Delhi, Mumbai or another city?
Most of our itineraries start in Jaipur. You can reach Jaipur by flight or train from Delhi (about 5 hours by train or road), Mumbai, Bangalore and other cities, and we will plan your itinerary from the day you arrive. If you want a different starting point, tell us when you enquire.
